Variety: “Pink Bourbon” (an Ethiopian landrace variety)

Process: Washed

Francy and her four sisters grew up helping on their family’s coffee farm, inspiring her to study agronomy to better support the business. She earned her degree through distance learning while working on the farm and joined the FNC as a field assistant in Arboleda, Nariño, after graduating in 2019. She also gained sensory analysis experience at a private export lab in Buesaco. “My interest in coffee grew even stronger,” she says. “Every day, I was eager to learn more.” Today, she’s recognized as one of Nariño’s most innovative producers.
Francy leads the Berruecos project, which aggregates parchment coffee from small, remote producers, helping them access the specialty market and earn premium prices through larger, high-quality lots.
